THE ARTISTIC COMPOSITION (Front Side)
• The Left Wing: A meticulous hand-embroidered interpretation of The Starry Night. I used DMC cotton threads in various thicknesses over blue cotton denim to recreate the iconic movement, texture, and depth of the original brushstrokes.
• The Right Wing: A luxurious printed velvet inspired by Van Gogh’s Sunflowers, bringing warmth and a rich, painterly glow to the face.
• The Back (Nape): The piece is connected at the back by a 100% cotton twill (sarga) featuring a curated collage of Van Gogh’s most famous paintings, ensuring the art continues all around your neck.
